The 2nd Bridge Construction and Rehabilitation Center (Khon Kaen) has been assigned the duties and responsibilities of constructing and rehabilitating bridges and reinforced concrete culverts in the Northeastern region, which can be divided according to the nature of the work as follows:
Responsible for the construction and rehabilitation of bridges through self-operation.
Planning, surveying, and designing reinforced concrete bridges and culverts according to standard designs, with each span not exceeding 20 meters; constructing reinforced concrete culverts.
Rehabilitating and improving bridges, widening and lengthening, repairing bridge surfaces.
Constructing and rehabilitating bridges to solve urgent problems, such as in cases of flooding, road collapse, bridge damage, or other natural disasters, including projects abandoned by previous contractors.
Planning bridge construction and rehabilitation projects.
Implementing a Bridge Maintenance Management System.
Reviewing and proposing plans and budgets for bridge construction and rehabilitation; controlling and monitoring budget expenditures.
Analyzing and inspecting the quality of materials related to bridge construction and rehabilitation.
Responsible for procurement and controlling and supervising the maintenance of supplies in accordance with government regulations; planning, inspecting, monitoring, and evaluating the use of machinery, vehicles, and equipment, from procurement planning, history, control, usage, proposing replacement plans, disposal, and maintenance to ensure machinery is ready for use.
On-the-job training for engineers and operators.
